Welcome to my NEW Blog!

Hello and welcome!

For years I’ve been meaning to get this space up and running. YEARS. I can’t believe the time has finally come, my own corner of the internet to share my recipes, meal planning preparation tips and tricks and more, with my growing community of mums, just like you.

I thought I’d take the time to share with you a bit about me and my family, so you can get to know what I’m about and how this venture began.

I have always had a passion for cooking, meal planning and preparation. While some find this task tedious, I genuinely enjoy it. I find it so satisfying to create menus and shopping lists, prepping ingredients and cooking. Cooking food for my family is how I show them I love them. It’s well received, as they all love to eat!

In 2020, in the midst of covid and lockdowns, I became a mum to a beautiful baby girl. Despite feeling isolated from society, I was immersed in the joys and trials of motherhood. When my daughter was younger, she had intolerances to dairy, soy and gluten. I remember seeing this a a chance and a healthy challenge to cook more allergen friendly meals and snacks, using her (and the rest of the family) as guinea pigs, and learned many tricks in this period. Although she slowly outgrew her intolerances, I’d become so accustomed to cooking for these needs, that I’ve continued to cook many of those recipes, while still incorporation other foods into our diet.

I became a pro at meal prep, because we were always busy. I maximised the time we had, to make sure we had healthy, nutritious meals to eat in a flash. I utilised my favourite kitchen appliances, like my Thermomix, air fryer and oven, to save time and money making things from scratch, and found that it was not only healthier for us, it was much easier on the pocket. Knowing everything that was in our food meant that we could be more conscious of what we put into our bodies, something I’m very passionate about.

In 2022, we were blessed with our beautiful son, who has taken to food like a duck to water. From the moment he started his solids journey, he’s been able to tolerate everything he eats, and loves almost every food he’s tried. This has been great, because it’s meant I can create and try even more recipes.

I’ve created so many recipes, and have them saved everywhere. From my notebooks, to my phone and the computer. I wanted somewhere I could find all of my recipes, but also a place I could share them with others too. I want to help people find meals their families love, while also taking the guesswork and stress out of meal planning and preparation. Healthy, tasty food doesn’t have to be hard, and it CAN be fun!
